Castelvecchio in San Casciano Val di Pesa - Filippo Rocchi

Castelvecchio’s winery and vineyards are placed in San Casciano Val di Pesa, 20 km south of Florence in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini Docg. In the 15th century a villa was built over the ruins of the original castle.The today logo is accompanied by a coat of arms taken from the original one in stone on the facade of the 12th century San Lorenzo Chapel, in pure Romanesque style, situated at the entrance of the estate. Since 1962 Rocchi’s family have been custodians of a land and since 1995 Filippo e Stefania have shared their passion for the emotions of wine. Respecting the auctocone grapes Castelvecchio ‘farm has been officially certificate organic farm since 2015 as following principles of sustainable agriculture since 1995 . The product line points at the affirmation of the character and the originality of the grapes to get hight quality and longevity wines.
