Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato

The Barbera d’Asti Consortium presents Monferrato and its wines at the 29th edition of the Merano WineFestival in its youngest and most contemporary form.

From November 6 to 9 2020 inside the Barbera D’Asti Open Space all the Designations of Origin will parade on the red carpet with masterclasses, tastings and insights to discover the Monferrato area.

Catwalk Bollicine from Milan to Merano

Catwalk Bollicine created by Merano WineFestival and Milano Wine Week is a cultural journey into the extraordinary world of Italian sparkling wine, which wants to promote and enhance the uniqueness of these products.

From the historic production areas to the most recent and innovative experiments, visitors can discover only the best of it and immerse themselves into the culture of the product itself and compare its origins, vines and methods of production.

The first stage of Catwalk Bollicine will be held in Milan from October 4 to 10 on the occasion of the Milan Wine Week and will continue with a second stage at the 29th Merano WineFestival from November 6 to 10.

The WineHunter Hotel Safari

The WineHunter Award ROSSO GOLD PLATINUM

The WineHunter Area is the area of the Merano WineFestival in which our sommeliers present a selection of wines awarded The WineHunter Award ROSSO, GOLD or PLATINUM.

Located on the stage of the stunning Kurhaus the visitors have the opportunity to taste only the best of Italian wine production. This year the WineHunter Area does not only exhibits at the Kurhaus but expands its horizons involving the whole city of Merano with the WineHunter Hotel Safari.

With the purchase of a day ticket, every visitor can get on a wine tour, among aromas and fragrances, in the most exclusive and renowned hotels of the city of Merano. In different hotels, where elegance and style reign, visitors can taste all the wines awarded The WineHunter Award, a real journey through flavors and elegance.

The Merano WineFestival continues also this year to host the “Concorso Emergente Sala”, the annual competition that sums up the values of reception and service, with the aim to enhance and to reward this sector.

The competition takes place on Tuesday, 10th November at 11.30 am, at the Hotel Therme Meran.

WineHunter Hub – The new digital platform

The 2020 edition of the MWF is characterized by an important digital innovation: the birth of the new WineHunter Hub platform where all the protagonists of the festival, industry professionals and visitors will be able to interact and learn about the news, discover the excellence and stay among them for the duration of the event and beyond.

An innovative, simple platform, available on any device, useful for operators and attractive for guests. October 14th will be the “Pre-Opening” to see some features and functions of the platform, designed by Gourmet’s International and ForTeam.
This year access to the MWF will be limited, but WineHunterHub will make it available to everyone!
